Anyone in the mood for an A ride Saturday? Westchester . . . . near a train, in case the rain gets here too soon. From the Boathouse at 9:00 AM. Going up Rte 9 to Tarrytown, across 448 thru Pocantico Hills to the Thornwood Diner. Back Grassy Sprain.

Last week I planned on a “Casual A ride”. I was very poor controlling the pace. It got fast, mid season fast. This week, I promise, I’ll do much better. I won’t let it get above 25 mph on the flats, I swear I won’t.

I won’t have access to the Club message board Sat morning. Will have access to Email. And my cell is 917 374 6436. I’ll be leaving my house at 6:45 AM.

Gee, I’d love to get a ride in.

Any Chance For Sunday?

Christy,

Sounds like I missed a great ride and seeing your new bike last week. I did see your group coming out of Piermont later in the day (who does not notice Tim wearing his pink jacket?). Any chance if your ride is canceled tomorrow due to weather you might want to do on Sunday? While the Hogwich guy is great, 8:30 on the NJ side of GWB for Brooklynites is hellishly early!

You're right. . . . 8:30 AM start from the Jersey side of the Washington bridge means an early wake up call for out of towners. Me . .. I'll be coming in from Cold Spring that morning to make the Hogwich ride. Whoa, talk about early starts. If it rains Saturday, my casual killer ride is cancelled. If I ride Sunday, I'm doing the Hogwich ride. And. . . .I'm planning on riding Sunday. C'mon Sonny, set the alarm, wake up, come for a ride. It's February - how often do you get to ride in February? Take advantage, man. See you Sunday.

Cycle or Metro North it down?

Christy:

When I join the NYCC rides, I usually cycle down from CT. Do you do the same from Cold Spring? (I can't join this weekend, unfortunately).
