Expanding upon that twisted thought: turn it into a Sunday night made-for-TV-movie on CBS musical. With such low expectations, have it something akin to the campy (as in not Campagnolo) theme of The Producers (note the Sarah Jessica Parker/M. Broderick tie-in). On the other hand, maybe not.
