I promised those at tonight's club meeting I would leave follow up links on the message board for winter training (riding) camps, in particular, Majorca (mallorca) Spain - a large island in the Mediteranean with perfect temperatures for riding mid January thru May and late September thru Novemnber - avoiding the summer crowd from mainland Europe.

To get a jump on the season, not to mention have a great time, a few
of us have signed on for a week at The Stephen Roche Bike Camp on the
beautiful Spanish Mediterranean Island of Mallorca.
Our dates: February 24-March 4, 2006.
Herewith is an open invitation for other NYCCers to join us.
Definites so far: Linda Wintner, Ellen Jaffe, Paul Hofherr, and Rick Braun.
The cost is about $ 700 per person for the week including double
room, two meals, cycling fee. Airfare additional.
If you don't bring your own bike, rentals are $115 for the week.
More than 10 of us garners a further 10% discount for all.
Daily rides for A & B cyclists that end by early afternoon, leaving plenty of
time for more riding, island touring, cleaning out the cycle
shop in Binnesalem. (With enough riders a C level group will be arranged)
Great cycling, congeniality nonpareil guaranteed.

How many signed up? How many B15-17 riders?

Wondering how many people plan on going and how many of these are B15-17 riders.

Am giving serious thought to attending, but wanted to see what NYCC riding company I would have.

Also, are most participants bringing their own bike?

Tx,
Ron

NYCC Mallorca riders

6 of us have signed up now, and more are still considering coming. Although some of us are A/B riders, at this time of the year we are probably all in the range that you mention (B15-17). Several of us plan to bring our own bikes, including me, but I hear that the camp rents out very good bikes. Hope that you join us. Let us know if you book to go too.
