I thought I would see if anyone has extra poles for the snowshoe SIG. I'll be renting shoes, but EMS doesn't rent poles with them. (Odd.)

You can often use snowshoes without poles.

Marshals (Atlantic Mall - BK, 48th St in Woodside Queens, and Queens Center Mall) are selling Coleman snowshoes and poles (separately) at a steep discount. They are probably not as good as Tubbs or MSR, but at least they are cheap and you could rent rather than buy.
