Hi,

Besides the newly distinguished from the holiday party, who else received Life Membership?

I remember there's someone named Louis or Louie, who got one. He's 88 years old (young) and I saw him on Peter's New York City Marathon ride. He rides his own modified bike with small wheels.

Does anyone know his last name?

Thanks,
Alfredo

Berardinucci

Do you want the names of those who received Life Memberships in the past?

yes

Thanks Geo. I think a lot of people want to know about these individuals who distinguished themselves in the NYCC.

Thanks again,
Alfredo

PS Louis was recently awarded a lifetime membership with the 5BBC. Wish I could ride when I'm 88 like him...

who's counting:

3,000 miles in 11 days, 9 hours and 41 Minutes. San Francisco to Washington DC. RAAM. Dave Walls was the first member to receive a life membership -- at least in anyone's memory. I'll guess the year might have been 1988, but maybe not.

According to the long lost NYCC Minutes:

Sid Lang (the founder of the club in the 1930's), Dan Henry (of the famous arrows), and someone else who was president for several years in the '60's, who's name escapes me, were all honored with Life Memberships during the 1970's.
