"The strike offers both challenges and opportunities. Yesterday evening, there was a surreal, almost party-like atmosphere on Fifth Avenue, which was closed to traffic; on other streets, gridlock ruled. Given conditions, we will primarily stay in Manhattan and take a Grand Tour of all the major holiday light and tree displays. If the Brooklyn Bridge is not too crowded, we may venture over to Brooklyn Heights as well.

No ""fat tired"" bike will be required."

I peeled off at Mercer & Grand -- hope you didn't wait up anywhere, you all had it all over me on the pave.

Maybe next week.

searched a bit for you.
figured you'd had enough of the cobbles.

"When we heard you say ""Pave"" we thought that was approval! But as Ron said, we did a search and figured you turned toward Brooklyn."

Great ride, John.

And an excellent idea setting fire to that big Xmas tree to keep warm.

What's up for next week?

That was a UAR for the ages.
almost a classic. The Chianti wasn't too bad either.
