Anything on two wheels -

bikes, scooters, motorcycles - all being ticketed and/or towed lately. Some administration :(

Actually, motorcycles or scooters that require a license plate can not be parked or chained on the sidewalk to anything. They also can not be parked there without being chained to stationary item such as a tree or sign post.
What most riders of such devices do is remove their plate when they park so they can not be ticketed.
Take a closer look next time. Of course that is also why some cover them, besides detering theft of parts.

That's true

And they get stolen if they're not locked to something, or picked up and moved so someone can park a car, or just plain knocked over, and yada yada etc etc. See parkingnow.org for more.

But the point really is that the Bloomberg administration seems to staging an inexplicable vendetta against two-wheeled vehicles, motorized or not.
