"Today, I was riding alone in Putnam County scouting some routes. I was on the hardpack section of South Highland Road, when from behind came an SUV, early 20s male driver, horn incessantly honking until he was able to pass. We all know how annoying this is. Side note to driver: I know you are just too macho in your second hand entry level vehicle, but cyclists have as much right to that road as you, and do not have to stop and pull over so you can pass.

A couple minutes later, I was on descent of Snake Hill Road, which was wet from some light rain. Right after the last curve before 9D, I saw the SUV stopped. Its seems he was going a bit too fast, lost control and crashed into an incoming car. Nobody was hurt, but damage to both vehicles was considerable -- the car had to be towed away. On my passing I smiled and yelled ""sweet,"" which invoked some response I could not discern."

but...

Not too sweet for the innocent driver he hit. Should have been a boulder.

Yes, But...

I am not so sure the other driver, another young male in a Chevy Camaro, was quite so innocent. I did not see the accident itself, but my guess is he has some culpability, probably going too fast up Snake Hill Road.
