This evening, we will follow the Queens route canceled by last week's thunderstorms. We will ride over to Flushing Meadows, tour the park, then peek at the Mets for an inning before exploring this week's highlight, the Iron Triangle in Willet's Point. The ride officially ends at the Bohemian Beer Hall in Astoria.

The general requirement for a fat-tired bicycle is waived for this week; all are welcome who can maintain an 18 MPH flat pace or whatever it is and are comfortable riding in traffic, industrial areas and inner city neighborhoods. This week route's will not include any significant off-road, cobblestone or railroad ballast. The upcoming weeks will and a fat-tired bicycle will be required.

Thanks

John - Thanks for another fun UAR. The beer garden was one of the best destinations yet.

And thanks to Neile for getting the powers that be to let us take our bikes in.

"Nice route through Queens neighborhoods and a good run back through the industrial areas. Thanks, John.

Next week, we head out to Tosca in Throg's Neck for ""destination class"" brick oven pizza."
