I saw the route from Queens to Long Beach in the ride library, but I'd like a route from NYC to Atlantic Beach. Does anyone have a cue sheet?

THESE ARE FOR POINT LOOKOUT.

ATLANTIC BEACH IS RIGHT OVER THE ATLANTIC BRIDGE AFTER AND EAST OF ROCKAWAY AND BEFORE POINT LOOKOUT.

here’s the nyc bike map

http://www.transalt.org/map/

there are several ways on this flattest of flat rides.

easiest way would be the brooklyn bridge to prospect park, then down Bedford to Emmons to the greenway on the right to flatbush ave, cross Flatbush and take the greenway right and go over the marine park bridge into rockaway and either make a left from there with the traffic over the hill - or go into riis park.

then just head east. The boardwalk is fine to ride on after maybe 90th street. You are not supposed to ride the boards after 10 am, but cops have never ever said anything me and my groups – in fact, one cop waved. your choice.

anyway, after the boardwalk ends, you take the street there, seagirt, about 4-5 blocks to the atlantic ave bridge, make a left and head east to long beach. I think the b’walk, which has a full time bike lane, starts in town at new york ave.

you can also take woodhaven blvd into crossbay and over the hodges bridge into rockaway at like 94th st., or you can take the greenway after Flatbush and go left all the way to woodhaven cross bay. or you can take myrtle ave to woodhaven.

long beach has a lirr station.

good riding to you …

"Here's a cue from the ""old"" NYCC ride lib. It's for Long Beach, which is the next town over from Atlantic Beach.
