I visited Rome this past week and was told by an authorized Bianchi dealer in Rome that he is interested in selling bikes to buyers from the US and other countries on the basis that you visit Italy (start in Rome) and then ride your newly purchased bike from Rome to Milan where you will visit the Bianchi factory and museum. The factory will then pack and ship your bike to an address of your choice. He needs at least 15 to make it worth while for him. I asked but he could not give me the all inclusive prices yet but I think there might be a substantial saving in the cost of the bicycle. Anyone who is interested please e-mail me at [email protected] or [email protected]

I visited Italy earlier in June and while there visited a few bike shops. a Bianchi dealer in Rome asked me if Americans might be interested in buying a Bianchi from his store in Rome, travel with the newly purchased bike from Rome to Milan and visit the factory and museum in Milan. The factory will then ship the bike to the US to your address. The prices in Euros are on the Bianchi.it website and includes VAT which can obviously be claimed back (sold without VAT) and is 20%. In addition, the owner said that he gives and average of 10% discount. There migh be duties and taxes to import. I don't know what the cost of the tour will be but it will be six or so days of 100 miles a day through Tuscony amongst others. I am looking for 14 more (in addition to myself) who might be interested. Please e-mail me.
