Hey Everyone,
I'm new to NYCC and I was planning on going on the ride tonight in central park but I'm not sure exactly where the boat house is. I've done laps in central park before so I kinda know the loop, but I dont ever remember seeing a boathouse. Thanks.

Welcome to the NYCC! You'll get the lingo down very quickly. The boathouse is on the east side of the main loop in the park, right after 72nd Street on the left side. It's a small structure, with a parking lot. If you hit the small steep hill, you've gone too far.

I remember a few years back when I went for the first club ride...
The EXACT location of the boat house doesn't really matter. As soon as you pass the 72nd street on the east side of the loop, just look for a big bunch of cyclist milling about by the road side.
There're groups other than NYCC also meeting at the boat house around the same time. So you'll need to ask people who's with NYCC to find out the right ride.

"Its on the east side, between what would be 74 & 75th street. Basically, once you reach the 72nd street crossing, as you start to go downhill, stay to the right at the Y. The boathouse is at the bottom of the hill, on your left side."
