Spinning at Crunch

I Spin at Crunch on 13th St.

The instructors I like there are:

Joanna - Lots of hills and fun. Very popular class.
Karen - Queen of jumps. Extra tough.
Colette - Really spirited but you have to get past the body builder physique.

Pablo at NYHRC, he even got a write up in the New York mag. I have been off the bike for 6 weeks with a broken arm so I have been going to Pablo's classes religiously.

Never been but this guy is supposed to be it-and-a-bit:

Yeah, Chris is mega. Very very good class, and very cycling (as opposed to aerobics) focused.

Add my name to the list of Chris' fans. I occasionally attend his classes at the Equinox on 92nd and B'way. One caveat - the music is exceptionally loud, to the point where I've noticed people in his classes with earplugs. It can be very hard to hear above the music, so get there early and sit close to the front.

Better yet, ride outside! It's 70 degrees!!

Chris is the man - also Robert P

Everyone has their favorite spin intructors and, no doubt, all the others mentioned here are great but..........my own personal favorites are:
Chris Griffin (Cat 3? bike racer) and Robert Pennino (multi-Ironman and very strong biker).
Both of these guys are bikers and it shows in their classes - both teach at Equinox.
Chris has an awesome class at 11.15 AM Saturdays at Equinox (Amsterdam/76 St) - it's officially 1.5 hours but he goes to 2+ hours for several weeks in February/March (probably reverted to 1.5 hours at this point, I believe). At peak demand (Feb/Mar), this class typically fills up 1 hour before it starts.

Pennino is a very good spinning teacher. Has anyone used him as a coach?

spinning

Dolores Munoz at Chelsea Piers is hard core. Her classes, Sunday 11:30am and Monday 6:30pm are both 1.5 hrs and mega spins. Highly recommended.

Ditto to that

How could I forget Dolores' spin class. Her boxing class is also wonderful. She's great.
