I purchased a brand new American Classic 420 wheelset last fall and rode on these wheels for maybe a total of 50 miles tops, all in Central Park. The wheels are in like new condition. They are the lightest deep section (34 mm) clincher rims in the world at 1420 grams per pair. Spoke count is 18 on the front, 24 on the back. You get the best of both worlds, aerodynamic on the flats and light up the hills and they look great too! I'm selling because they are Shimano compatible and over the winter I decided to convert my bike to Campy but American Classic doesn't allow me to put a Campy freehub on this wheelset; I'd have to buy a special American Classic cassette which is compatible with Campy but I don't want to do that because I want to use a Campy cassette. Hence, they have to go. Price is firm. My loss is your gain, regular retail on these is $799.99 and up.
