A quick spin out to Long Beach to get the blood pumping. Return route along Long Island back roads to the Rockaways and up through Brooklyn. Terrain mostly flat.

Bring what you need to keep rolling, maybe a bag for shopping and a LIRR pass in case you need to bail. Fenders always a good idea this time of year.
