To my way of thinking, if someone extols a product on our message board that he has a professional interest in, he should disclose it. There was a recent post on our board praising a product that, it turns out, the poster reps. ...Not that he said it....
A less than ethical use of our message board.
Who, what , etc! If you are going to open a can of worms, open it all the way. . . .s.v.p.
What else B-)
Go to Feb. 2 post on bike cleaning thread. It is a model of disingenuousness.
note corrrect email address
"Well, JP is right. It was a thread created 2/12. The oddity is, I used the board's search function, entered the name of the product mentioned, and was taken to the ""offending"" post, which bore the date of Feb. 2! Odd because, as JP points out, the thread didn't begin until ten days later. Clearly just a computer glitch.
The point of my note hadn't been to heap scorn on an individual so much as it was to offer a general statement that one should disclose his financial-professional interest in a product or service when he recommends it. To be sure, I don't mind one making such a recommendation providing he does so. It's a matter of integrity/ credibility.

You hint. . .you lay a trail of bread crumbs - but, still you beg the question. And, now, since you brought it up, you are the only one who can reveal all. . . .save the person who made the post volunteering to come forth and clear the air and the issue!
