My cycling team, Champion System Racing, is holding a fund-raising benefit on Sat., Mar 5th at the Brooklyn Brewery. All are welcome.
The team is raising money to benefit Cancer Reasearch by way of the Spin Odyssey in Westport, CT. We will split 1/3 of the funds raised on Mar 5 with Spin Odyssy, which is taking place on Mar 6. Some team members are also participating on Mar 6 in CT.
We are also adopting The Mickey Mantle School on the upper west side. The school specializes in severely disabled students aged 4.9-21 years old. 1/3 of the funds raised on Mar 5 will also go to the Mickey Mantle school.
How can you help?
Pre-Register and join us at Brooklyn Brewery on Mar 5. Or just arrive un-registered on Mar 5. The Brooklyn Brewery, a co-sponsor of our team, is hosting the event and donating all the beer we can give away for free. There will be raffles and a prize list, and beer, and beer, and beer, and snacks.

Mar 5 fund-raiser with BEER
"We'll have raffles, and prizes, and beer, and prizes, and beer, and snacks.
1st prize raffle is a carbon bike frame w integrated headset, your choice of either a road frame or Mtn. bike frame. Other prizes include:
- A day at Oasis Day Spa.
- Dinner for 2 at Henry's Restaurant.
- A case of Brooklyn's finest beverage (did I mention beer?).
- Autographed books and posters.
- A pair of Yankee tickets.
- More prizes being added every day.
There will be live music and dancing (or just white-boy over-bite hip shaking).

The beneficiaries of the fund-raising event include, Spin Odyssey (a charity raising money for American Cancer Society), The Mickey Mantle School (a school for developmentally challenged children), and my racing team Champion System Racing. Proceeds will be split 3-ways evenly.
Note: The Mickey Mantle School and the NY Board of Education are not involved in this event, except as a beneficiary of a portion of the proceeds raised.

If you like beer and music, and want to try to win some prizes, and want to support some local charities, this is the event for you.
