Tsunami Benefit Concert Friday and Saturday night
P.S. you can still catch Heidi and the Ho's afterwards
Rachmaninov: Piano Concerto No. 2 - my favorite. I hope to make it along on Saturday.
Great selections. The Egmont was one of the first pieces of classical music I learned in my college music class. Hope to see you Saturday night.
Wow, these cyclists are a classy bunch! I hope to see some of you tonight!
Great concert tonight. Thanks for letting us know. Liane loved the strings. The adagio was lovely.
It was indeed a great pleasure to hear Rachmaninov: Piano Concerto No. 2 live!
(I have two versions of this on CD - one scratchy version played by Rachmaninov himself).
A great concert and a great cause! I particulary enjoyed the Adagio and Rachmaninoff. Thanks for posting & playing - it was a lovely way to spend an evening.
Deep thanks to all who came and helped make it a special and successful event! I have been trying to find out how much we raised for the Red Cross, after the rental of the hall and timpani and that kind of thing. I believe it is in the order of $3000. I'm sure the effects of this will be felt in many small and significant ways -- a few more hungry mouths fed, homes rebuilt, vaccinations administered.
And of course i hope you'll come to One World concerts in the future.
Cheers!
