Hey folks -

Looking for a few minor upgrades on my bike and was wondering if anyone had an idea when the Nashbar's of the world really do roll out the lowest prices.

Any guidance would be of help.

Thanks,

Robert

deeper discounts

Once, maybe twice a year, Performance has a weekend-long, 20%-off-everything sale, a private event for bike clubs. That is an additional discount to whatever's already on sale, so it's a great time to stock up on staples.

I can't remember the exact details, or claim to know when the next one will be, but someone usually heads us all up when the time comes. If i hear of it i will post the password. Worth holding out for, if your upgrades aren't urgent.

Lowest Prices of the Year

"Once a year, Nashbar puts out a catalog titled ""Lowest Prices of the Year."" I think the last one was around September. If you need to upgrade, don't wait. But if you want to stock up on consumables (tires, tubes, chains), wait 'til Fall.

trexlertown swap meet

There is also a great swap meet at the Lehigh Valley Velodrome in the spring and fall. If you know what you want you'll be able to find it and probably get it cheap. It's a littl over an hours drive from NYC.

The web site it down right now I just checked -it's winter, so not much racing on an outdoor velodrome- but the http is

Check back in a month or so, I would guess, to get the dates.
