Hey Seth, if yer willing to do two river crossings to visit my pad, I'd gladly set you up with all the wheel building goodies (truing stand, dishing tool AND tensionmeter) as well as provide some instruction and guidance. -Peter
"to hold my hand and clean up all my ""accidents""? I won't make any more mess than your baby already does."
Like babies, wheel building is quite clean and child's play. She'll keep you entertained by putting her feet in her mouth much like her father frequently does, only figuratively of course.
Accidents, ehhh. They only happen while riding the bike, not working on 'em. The worst thing you can do building a wheel is that it will turn out like a piece of modern art instead of a functional bike part. Considering this, as well as the weekend forecast is a washout and MOMA is reoppening this weekend, I reckon it's an opportune time to build some wheels.
How come u never told me you had all that stuff?
Guess it just never came up in conversation; modesty has its own price. (however much that is)
Seth,
I'm at 89th/West End. You can have my Minoura stand and The Book, along with some tips and Phil Oil any time.
Just call my cell (646) 283-3088. I'm out of town from Thursday to Sunday, so if you pick it up today, you'll have plenty of time to build the wheel before I get back.
Cheers,
- Christian
