Does anyone know when we can expect the new order of jerseys to come in?

Can they still be ordered??

Um, is it still possible to order an NYCC jersey? Somehow, I never saw an announcement on either the bulletin or the website. What does it look like anyway?

I am in the process of writing each of you who ordered jerseys and am wayyy overdue in writing Kim, in particular, for which I publicly apologize.

There must be some Latin expression--and I think there is, an expression in Law--that translates: The thing speaks for itself.

The expression...

"...in law is res ipsa loquitur, which means ""the thing speaks for itself"". Usually refers to tortious conduct for which there can be no other explanation than negligence or recklessness, such as when a safe falls out a window on the passers-by below..."

I know -- even 27 years after graduating, I can't get it out of my system. Kind of pathetic, no?

Correction? No.

"The phrase is ""res ipsa loquitur"", as was correctly stated, not ""ipse"", not ""loquitor."" ""Res"" is feminine, as in ""res publica."""

"Please don't get me wrong. I appreciate what Richard is doing, and I don't envy the frustration he must be feeling. But the original question was ""when we can expect the new order of jerseys,"" and I'm wondering if anyone can give us any kind of estimated date?"

Jersey delivery

"I write from a rainy Cleveland.

Let me re-state, my rage, anger, fury, and frustration at the shabby, shabby way this entire jersey thing has gone surely exceeds anyone else's.

Of course, none of that does a thing to mitigate how pissed off is and should be everyone who ordered one and continues...and continues...and continues to await it.

But resolution is in sight and I think the resolution will offer some balm and some salve to the wound.

I don't mean to be cryptic here, but I will be sending an e-note to each of you who ordered one offering you explanation and time of delivery in full, as well as somewhat of a pleasant surprise. Whether it will constitute compensation and redress-in-full for your having gone the summer without what you long ago ordered, paid for, and expected...well, only you can say that.

I'm back Sunday. Assuming I do have the e-address of everyone who ordered--and will get--a jersey, each of you will get a note from me Sunday night.

In fact, at the certain risk of overloading my ""in"" box, if you did order and pay for a jersey, why not send me your e-address? ...Which isn't to say that is required for me to send you what I am; it'll just make it marginally easier.

Richard, pissed off, angry, frustrated, enraged (and, for once, about something other than politics)...but hoping, and, yes, even thinking, this will end in satisfaction and before too much longer."
