Everyone has read about how the Europeans don't like the fact that Lance travels around escorted by burly bodyguards.
Well, after winning the Kriterium in Stiphout race in the Netherlands yesterday, an angry fan smashed the back winshield of the car Lance was driving in (he was sitting in the back seat). The man claimed he has nothing against Lance but was angry that the car ran over his big toe...he was promptly arrested.

I'd have bodyguards if I was him too. He's an icon over there an is pretty much synonymous with USA. And even though he claims he's against the war(s), he's a friend of shrub's.
