my new contender for a new bike it the following- i'd love some input from all of you guys, whether its a good buy, or whether there are some other models i shoudl look at.
2004 Specialized Allez Comp. Full Ultegra. Switching out the handlebars for an FSA K-wing. Fizik Arione seat will be added. comes w/ mavic Ksyrium Equipes, which will become my beater training wheels, as ai have a pair of 2003 Ksyrium SSC SL's.
all this for a little over 2100 bucks.
good deal? if not, what do oyu guys reccomend in that price range? i'm wondering if its in the right range for Ti
contedner for a new bike- yay or nay?

Take a look at the Airborne Valkyrie - a Ti frame, full Ultegra and the same wheels - at Piermont Bicycle or online at www.airborne.net - very close to your price.
The Piermont advantage is a great fit and follow up service.
I have mine since Sept. 2003 and have never enjoyed riding more - incredibly comfortable ride.
