Dear Friends, Last Saturday a drunk driver while on a cell phone struck John while he was climbing up Rt.100 near the cemetary at Kensico dam. He was hit so hard that he wrecked the front of this SUV and Smashed through the front windshield. He has suffered many broken bones, back, neck, ribs, punctured lung, scull fractures. Amazingly his prognosis for complete recovery is good. He wants to get back on the bike.

I want to make a get well card. So for those of you who know and love John or maybe have been on his many maple syrup rides please send a get well wish to - [email protected]. I will prepare a collage of these messages in a large get well card.
Thankyou, Al Boland

A speedy recovery!

John,

I don't know you, but I wish you a speedy recovery. I was in contact myself with a car last Saturday and got away with a bit of road rash and my crash pails into insignificance compared with yours. It's the second time it has happened to me but it is scary being hit by a car whether the driver is sober or not.

I hope you make a full and speedy recovery and have many multiple thousands of miles on the bike ahead of you.

All the best
Anthony
