hey guys, my name is Christophe, i just joined this club and i'm really excited about it. I'm a rising senior in college down in new orleans @ Tulane, and i'm back home for the summer. i'm really excited to get some rides in and meet some new people, and i hope to get to know many of you guys soon! see you guys out there!

hmmm, about being the youngest member, i think i was one of the youngest members of the NOBC in new orleans- so we'll see what kind of implications/nicknames that earns me :P

A - B ??

Find out how your legs are, A or B, and we should ride whatever. I tend to whip it up, but also like to ride piano and smell the roses. Also do some lunch rides - where a light spin and food are the main concerns ;-)

why dont we rock out a B sometime and you can tell me if my legs are good enough for it- i've been circling the park the past week on my 30 lb mtb until today- i just got my bike back from the shop- gonna go enjoy the speed of my road bike-
i'm free everyday till the 7th- lets meet up on a nice B ride- anyt suggestions? i'll also be in the park all week ridin me butt off.
and remember gramps- dont fall and break your hip! :P
thos lunch rides sound great- and so does that wine tasting- i think i might have to join in on that!

Beat You to Him/Them John ....
"John ""Slow Pokalakas"" .... looks like another new member ""Giovani"" and I beat you to riding with Christophe. The three of us rode to Nyack on Saturday morning ... but it turned into an ""all day ride."" We checked out Piermont Bike Shop and the Nyack shop plus Runcible Spoon.
Now, I know how you both ride and Christophe could be a challenge for you ... and Giovani.
I'm kidding ... John, you really impressed me when you showed up and finished the 200K NYC very strong!
You should ride with Christophe AND Giovani, they are both good riders and good company.

thanks Diane! i had an awesome time w/ you and Giovanni! giovanni and i have met up a couple times since then, but i'm tryin to battle the remains of a cold/cough right now-
and guess what i picked up?! i set of 2002 Ksyrium SSC SL's- i got a killer deal on em, and you were right- those wheels can FLY. i cant wait to see what kind of damage they to up to nyak :)
i heard your asthma's been botherin ya- i hope you can hit up a few rides with us again soon!!

Welcome aboard! I invite you to join our B16 newcomers ride this weekend (see the ride listings). Even if you normally ride faster than that (as I do), you can still join us (or another newcomers ride) as a way of meeting new cycling friends and getting to know the Club. Also some mornings I ride early (maybe tomorrow and/or Thursday morning), and you are invited to ride laps in Central Park at (UGH!) about 6:00 A.M. If interested, let me know.
