Hi Everyone!
NJ Randonneurs will be meeting informally at 7:15 p.m. at the benches across from Tavern on the Green. I've already been out this morning ... so for me, it's going to be slower loops ... I'll have a slower bike as well.
If you don't know me, I'll have a Paris-Brest-Paris jersey (Eiffel Tower on back), red Giro Atmos (new) helmet, blue/silver Trek 5200 bike.

Central Park Loops Tonight (Tues 5/4)
"Diane,
When I read ""slower bike,"" I was thinking along the lines of a touring bike. I was pretty surprised when I saw that you were referring to a Trek 5200. That Trek is probably lighter than any bike I own.
It is a nice day for riding."
It's slower for me because it has a 53/39 Ultegra rather than my 53/34 FSA (Litespeed). Also, I have the Evolution 3 carbon saddle plus new Ksyrium wheels. The Bontrager wheels which come with the Trek are heavy and I don't like the tires that came with it either ... Maybe I'll swap out the front wheel for tonight. Maybe I just like TI.
Is this an open ride? What speed?
"Yes, this ride is for open to everyone. It's more of a ""social pace."" I haven't been training much so I suspect my loops will be 25min. Leaving the group is not a problem either ... you can start with us and leave if the pace is too slow.
And ... if anyone is interested in speed skating. The group who meet at the same place (benches) is always looking for new skaters. In fact, if you can keep a descent pace, they might be interested in having you pull them around the park - they already have two skater/riders who do that.
