I've got the answer

"---""I'm not sure what he thinks he's going to do with a gun. I know he freely gives the finger to passing drivers who don't 'Share the Road,'"" says Sally. ""but how he's going to get the gun out of the back of his shirt and get a good shot at a car that has already run him off the road, I'm not really sure."" ---

Handlebar-mounted holster.

What a wonderful world.

"Definitely Onion-esque. Humorous, but provocative. Hmmm - adapt a cage to be a holster.

Nice advantage while racing too: In a Phil Ligget voice: ""Tyler is pushing a massive magnum ... down goes Armstrong."""

Sounds like something from the Onion

No dateline, no town, fake firing range, too knowledgeable about bikes. But amusing.

It's satire.

I've stated this before; if cyclists were to carry guns for protection, they'd do best to have them clearly visible, this way would be troublemakers would just shy away. A concealed gun won't keep a cyclist from being run off the road, but it might just result in a dead motorist and a cyclist on trial.

Regarding weight; I've been wondering, how do reductions in bike weight compare with the same reductions in rider weight? (If my bike is 20 pounds, and I lose 20 pounds in body weight, did I just buy myself a 0 pound bike?)

If you’re looking to improve performance. It’s much better to lose 20 lbs (if it’s fat) than to have a weightless bike.

• Less wind resistance from having a smaller silhouette. Maybe somebody can crunch out some numbers on the decrease in drag coefficient/ sq. in. of decrease in area.
• You can get more aero with a smaller gut.
• Your body becomes a more efficient machine, circulation is better, muscle cells fire more rapidly. All else being equal, you might live a longer life.

Changes in lifestyle to maintain any substantial weight loss is not so easy, sometimes it’s easier to plop down a wad of bills to shave off a few pounds of metal.

You have to ask yourself– What sounds better?

""Did you lose some weight?"" -or
""Did you just spend xx grand on that sweet ride?""
