"The 2nd Annual BK Pave event is coming this April in celebration of Paris Roubaix. The race date is April 11, however, OLN is not broadcasting Paris Roubaix the day of the race. A tape-delayed 1 hour broadcast is scheduled the following Sunday afternoon (April 18). So here is the question:
Should the ride happen on the day of the race (with no post-ride event) or the day of the broadcast (with post-ride event at Water Street Bar in DUMBO)?

Dilemma?
Let me guess. Paris-Roubaix conflicts with a world class fly fishing event? Bull Riding? Bird hunting? Gotta be something big on the redneck calendar. Hum, it would be tough if not impossible for cycling enthusiests to go a week not knowing Paris Roubaix results, and last year's ride + bar was so much fun. I need to think more about this. Too late for an email campaign to OLN?

Ride the day of Paris-Roubaix and go to Water Street bar. A one hour show isn't going to give the same sense of tension.

Holy Cow!! (hey, it's Easter)
My long, whining email to the bigwigs at OLN must have worked... or at least I'd like to think so.
Maybe I will go to church, then I certainly won't be able to keep up with the race online and spoil the fun!
The ride and viewing will occur on April 11, same day as the race.
