I'm interested in a tour of the Tour de France, to see some of the classic stages like the Alpe D'Huez. Perhaps a week long, and it doesn't have to include cycling for myself. I will be accompanied by my 13 year old son. Does any one have any suggestions or know of a good tour group?

act soon

I booked a tour with Graham Baxter Sporting Tours about a month or so ago, and even then most of the tours I looked into were sold out, particularly for the last week of the TDF.

I have not taken a tour with this group before, so I cannot make a first-hand recommendation, but a few people I was in contact with had good experiences with this operator, and the price was the lowest I found. Their tours are open to cyclists and non-cyclists.

Their Web site is http://www.sportingtours.co.uk/ .

A Web site full of advice about going to watch the tour is http://www.tdfamericans.us/ .

Good luck,
hannah
