I am a new member. Does anyone have suggestions for the best route on the eastbound side of the Belt Parkway between Coney Island and the Ceasar's Bay parking lot? I'd like to ride past the Verazzanno Bridge (starting in Manhattan Beach) without wasting too much time on poorly maintained side streets.

From Nathan's make a left and than a right on 17th St. Go straight on 17th. cross bridge and it becomes Cropsey Ave. Take Cropsey Ave.till it ends at Bay Parkway. Make left and proceed to water and pick up the Shore Pkwy. bike path.

Shore Parkway Bike Path

The bike path westbound back under the Verranzano goes up to 70th street. It is in decent shape, but very little is of recent paving, so it is not a smooth ride.

The eastbound path from Manhattan Beach towards Jamacia Bay is in much better shape, and a smoother ride.
