South Side of the GWB will open as of Oct. 1 according to the Port Authority.
The curb cut onto the sidewalk leading to the South Side path, and that sidewalk are supposed to be mended in the near future.

BTW, we rode across the north side today--and when we got to the Jersey side, found out that the south pathway was open.

Carol left up Hudson Terrace early. At that time we were under the impression that it was open but we soon found out it was not. Ask Rich Ramon, he was under the impression that it was open and ended finding out firsthand that it was not. He just read the heading of the thread saying it was open but did not read the actual write-up to see that the opening date is slated for October 1st.

GW Bridge Re-opening
Official word from my contact at the Port Authority is that it will be opened tomorrow and definitely clear and ready for riders this weeekend. In addition, they will have extra police on the bridge on Saturday in honor of ENY.
