Does the above designation 36mm x 24Threads/inch mean that this is an Italian bracket (and right hand threads both sides)? I am going to attempt the replacement myself and want to make sure I order the right part. Also, my crankset has self extracting bolts, but I am unsure of which bottom bracket removal tool to purchase. It is definitely splined cartridge-type. I have read through Zinn's and Bicycling Maint. & Repair Guide, but neither really tell you which tool for which type of BB.

Thanks

Lots of useful info on the Park Tool website

Tacx BB tools thread onto the BB spindles, a great way to avoid stripping the splines while trying to get the cups out:

Italian BB

Yes. Make especially sure you get the right side good and tight. Grease threads well. If aluminum or Ti BB shell, use anti-seize or teflon ""plumber's"" tape. Also, make sure you get the proper spindle length for your crankset.

Need to know what model BB you have. See: http://www.parktool.com/tools/BBT_2.shtml
