The Wednesday B16 Nyack riders are sorry to lose Chaim Caron, whose birthsay is today, to delicate hand surgery tom'w. Unfortunately the surgery will keep him off the bike for most of September. But the man will be ferocious when he gets back on the bike.

We'll miss you, Chaim.

I'll Be Back

Hi Maggie and all,
Thanks very much for the good wishes. The surgery is routine and I'm sure I will be back on the road soon with my new bike. I'll try not to be too ferocious! I'll miss you all too, and I'll see you soon!
Best regards,Chaim

surgery went well

the surgery went well, am typing with left hand only, hence brevity and no caps. took no pain killers today, can keep pain and swelling down by keeping hand elevated, at or over head level. required bike content: if i keep the swelling down in the first 3 days, the recovery period will be shorter and i can be back on my bike sooner. doc said soonest i will be back on bike will be 4-6 weeeks. if it is 4 weeks, that will be very short period.

many thanks to all for good wishes, see you soon.
