I was so excited to come across the NYCC yesterday in search for other riders in the area. I was all set to sign up but put it off a day to think about it. As usual I took my bike over the GW bridge (I live in Weehawken) to peddle through the city and the park when I decided to meet a friend for lunch in Union Square. I locked my bike up in a place where I had two weeks before. 45 minutes later, returning to the bike, it was gone. Not even scraps of the cable lock were remaining. So sad.

I need another bike so I can go ahead with my plan and join. I'm not picky. I don't want to purchase new but will purchase a used hybrid. I don't care what it's made of, as long as it rides nice. Anyone have an old one that they want to sell????
