"A few weeks ago I mentioned a lube that a salesman we deal with at work recommended for bike chains. It's called Lubrease.

I have my doubts about it now that I see it has a ""Moly"" compound in it- the last moly lube I used rubbed off and left nasty chain prints on everything- but here it is, in case you're curious:

The above link should work, at least it did in Explorer on my computer, though Netscape choked on it."

Lubrease

"You can just enter: http://www.chemsearch.com

Then, click ""enter"" and type ""Lubrease"" in the search box.

This stuff might be good, but it's probably expensive and hard to find. What's wrong with motorcycle chain lube or plain old motor oil?

""Chainwheel"""

dirty

I won't use any lube that will leave a chain mark on my leg or the sofa or a fellow subway rider, etc.
