The following ride is mentioned on the Website but didn't make it into the monthly or weekly bulletins. Absent a deluge, Bob and I are riding.

Sunday June 29, 2003
A-18
From the Boathouse 8:30 a.m.
Rockland Lake via points north and west 75 miles +-
Leaders: Bob Mirell: [email protected]; Russ Berman: 212-595-8834; [email protected]
Once more dear friends, we venture into the wilds of Rio Vista en route to some of the pleasant byways of Rockland County, including one of the great short downhills in the repertory. If weather permits we’ll have a picnic lunch at Rockland Lake and then try the mandatory hills on the way back. We hope to make it back reasonably early in the day by maintaining, not exceeding, the posted pace. Good attitude, pocket food and fluids and gentle words at least as important as well-maintained bike and the required helmet. Wet roads or high probability of precip cancel. Call a leader if in doubt.

raining (again)

7:10 - 7:15 a.m.

It's raining (again) in Brooklyn.

What is the probability the ride is going to happen anyway? Wait and see or back to bed?
