A few months ago I read on the internet about a one day century ride from Massachussets to Maine, going through New Hampshire along the coast in September. I think the 6th if memory serves me right.

I forgot to bookmark the website and I can't find any details. I've searched through other clubs' listings and through a wider national listing from a link in the Resources section of this site and come up with nothing.

Does this ring any bells with anyone, or does anybody know anything about this ride, or did I just imagine the whole thing? Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Anthony

Tri-State Seacoast Century

"Details of the Tri-State Seacoast Century are listed at the Granite State Wheelmen clubs website. The event is on September 20, 2003.

I've found it

Thanks Peter, it looks like you found it at the same time as me. I'd just posted the following when I saw your note:

After a lot of searching, I've finally found what I was looking for. It is the Tri-State Seacoast Century on 20 September, starting in northeastern Massachusetts and going through coastal New Hampshire and ending in Maine. It is the main century event of the Granite State Wheelmaen club. Judging by a picture on the website it does allow women too.

I don't think this is designed to be a fast ride, by any means, but I thought it would be a nice late season way to see a pretty stretch of coast.

misc

Thanks for the tip, Anthony. I am familiar with that very active club, but not the ride. While in the comforts of a car, this past winter I did drive up along that stretch and can indeed vouch for it being a very prety stretch of coast. Hopefully this event does not conflict with ENY this year. Can anyone confirm the ENY date? Thanks.

ENY is on 4 October

Escape New York is a bit later this year and is on 4th October. The Seacoast ride would be good training, except for the fact it is flat, unlike ENY. We have some friends in NH who've agreed to put us up.
