There ws no reason to cancel today's ride. There was no rain predicted, the roads were dry, and because of these factors it never occured to me to check this message board. The A classic was about to leave when I arrived at the boathouse, the CRCA bike race was on, I was the only A19 rider ready to go. I guess I was the only one that thought there was no reason to check this board. I am pissed.

I'm glad others posted first. I'm pretty disappointed myself since I cannot do this ride tomorrow due to other plans. There was no reason to cancel. This would have been a perfect day.

To have us get up at 6am, check the board, and find out it was cancelled, when the weather was in our favor........

I decided to join a few souls at GCT to take a train to Garrison and do a couple of hill repeats of Bear Mountain. I saw the A Classic riders coming down as I was going up my first attempt and was highly envious of them.

I was somewhat surprised by this morning's call, as all the weather forecasts I saw this morning looked ok. The irritating thing now is that I'm going to have to give up my ride to Montauk tomorrow. Maybe I should have gone with the Classics this morning.

Even the C SIGs didn't bail out of today.

I don't want to criticise whoever made the decision; that seems unfair after all the leaders have done for us. On another day, I might just as easily have got the call wrong.
