Help finding specific cue sheet to Cold Spring

Submitted by ERayvid on Thu, 08/01/2013 - 11:46am

I used a cue to Cold Sping over Bear Mtn last year and can't find it to save my life.

It ultimatley took us up W. Saddle River> Spook Rock> Haverstraw> Call Hollow, through the park and on to Cold Spring.

Can someone please help me find it?

Many thanks!

The hardpack trail has been resurfaced with a light gravel coating.  However in dozens of trips there I never have  had a problem with my road bike or tires.  Access it by passing Runcible on North Broadway in Nyack and go to end.  Enter park and go downhill to start of trail.  Sorry but there is a difficult climb at the north end of the trail to enter Rockland Lake village and park.  I will probably use the trail on the ride I am leading next weekend.

Wednesday "C" Ride - Bronx Waterfront/Orchard Beach

Submitted by nymultisport on Tue, 07/30/2013 - 3:49pm

Marilyn and I plan to reprise our Bronx Waterfront ride tomorrow. Here's the details...

Around and through a bunch of old and brand new parks along the Bronx/LI Sound waterfront to a picnic lunch at Orchard Beach. On the agenda are Concrete Plant Park, Soundview Park, Shorehaven Bikepath, Kane's Park, Pugsley Creek Park, Castle Hill Park, and Ferry Point Park. We'll also visit SUNY Maritime College and Pelham Bay Park.

This fun, urban ride is about 32 miles outbound. Add about a third more for our return, primarily via the Pelham Parkway and Mosolu Parkway Bike Paths.

Hey folks! I was wondering if there are members here who could lend me
their equipment for a headlight review.

Twin Lights Ride (& Century) September 29

Submitted by YehuditS on Tue, 07/30/2013 - 9:09am

Anyone interested in riding the Twin Lights Ride in Monmouth County, Sandy Hook? I've done it before, it's very beautiful, flat and fast. Distances: 30, 55, 75 and 100 miles. Registration fee until Aug 31 is $55, after that it increases to $65. There's also ferry transportation to and from Highlands where the ride starts and ends.

The ride is organized this year as part of a community initiative to restore damages from hurricane Sandy and to provide help for residents who lost their homes.

I'm aiming for the century but depending on the weather I might shorten it to the 75 mile loop at a reasonable 18'ish pace.
