If the ride interests, please RSVP by 8 PM this evening.

PS. Short take on long subject.

This ride is listed as a B16 and the leader is figuring a personal pace of about 8-something mph.  The idea simply to get off the road before dark at 4 PM.

The bike I'm bringing has very deep gears (20") so I can spin comfortably at little more than walking speed.

Stronger riders can attack as they choose.  I'm just going to enjoy myself.

Read the captions to the slideshow. (Disregard the fact there was no reason for the pictures and all the captions together would have made easier reading as a short, short article.)

The Market N.J. on 9A Open Christmas Day?

Submitted by Kburman on Mon, 12/23/2013 - 3:18pm

Hello All,

Does anyone know if the Market on 9A in N.J. is  open x mas day.  Thinking of doing a ride out there then.

If not, do you know their phone number.

Thanks so much!

IMPORTANT! Wortendyke Barn & Diner Ride start has moved!

Submitted by Slugger on Fri, 12/20/2013 - 9:32pm

For some bizarre reason, we put important, breakable bits of our bike in vulnerable places. Translated, that means I tweaked my derailleur and need to get it looked at. Therefore, the ride start has been moved to Strictly's. We'll aim to leave around 9:45ish, presuming my bike is ready to roll. Feel free to come early and laugh at me.

NJ Roads

I'm happy to report that Bergen County roads (including side roads) are clear, although a bit wet from run-off and with a few more potholes from the plows, but totally rideable.  (I did not do River Road, so can't report on that.)
