VOTE PLEASE

Submitted by GeorgeArcarola on Sat, 02/12/2011 - 7:36am

I will be wearing the new club jersey this summer... proudly.

Although the jersey I voted for probably will not win, ALL the designs are great... OK, four of the designs are great... Anyway, right now, the leading jersey has around 80 or so votes. With around 2000+/- members, that means that 4% of the membership are deciding what jersey I will wear on Memorial Day. Only 4%... I'd rather have a much higher percentage of the club telling me how to dress!!

Please VOTE... today... BEFORE 6pm.

Thanks,
George

B SIG Filled Up For This Year

Submitted by WWright on Fri, 02/11/2011 - 7:59am

B SIG registration for 2011 is now closed. We've registered as many people as we can accommodate. As much as I wish that we had room for everyone who is interested in the B SIG, the reality is that we do not.

You might be wondering whether the B SIG has a wait list. The answer is that we do, but, we registered enough people to fill our wait list as well as the available riding spots.

I look forward to meeting all of the 2011 B SIG participants on Saturday, March 5th, in Central Park. Please direct any questions to [email protected].

20 degrees, 7pm, empty park, cops ticketing

Submitted by crosscountrymule on Thu, 02/10/2011 - 9:51pm

i was running tonight in the park and saw a guy on a bike get a ticket. guy on bike (as opposed to a cyclist) was coming out of the path from the middle of the park onto the west side of the park at about 86th street. he was clearly being followed out of the path and onto the road. the minute he got on the road, the nypd 3-wheeled golf cart type of car thing turned on his lights and pulled the biker over. i didn't stop to find out the offense; i continued running my 9:47 pace for 4 miles - woo hoo.

the park was completely empty. i'd say i saw 5-10ish cyclists and people on bikes? a few running groups, like myself. come on already.

Looking for older Shimano left crank

Submitted by 3oz on Thu, 02/10/2011 - 3:41pm

Does anyone have a 172.5 left crank that is compatible with an Octalink V2 BB they could part with? Ideally it would be Dura Ace FC-7700 or Ultegra FC-6500.

"Dare or Distance" - WTF #7 ride report

Submitted by NWeissman on Wed, 02/09/2011 - 4:54pm

Didn't post the ride description on the message board because a) studs and fenders would be mandatory and b) Usual Suspects had already reserved the available slots.

The ride was a succession of back roads looping up to Big W's Roadside Barbeque. What was surprising was the remarkably challenging range of riding conditions from deep snow to glare ice.
