I am selling my trusty Litespeed Appalachian only because I just don’t have room in the stable.

It would make someone a great travel bike. It has been retrofit with S&S couplers and has an S&S rolling hard case for airline travel!

It is also perfect for trails, winter riding, banging about while still being light and relatively fast with road tires.

The frame is old, but has never been crashed and was meticulously maintained—right down to the decal removal.

Best of all, the bike was upgraded at NYC Velo in 2014 with all new components:

Brakeset: Paul Comp Mini Moto, Black

Chain: Ultegra 6800 11s

Crankset: Shimano 105 5800 -172.5mm 50/34

Front Derailleur: 105 5800 34.9

IRD Elite Campagnolo cassette, 10 speed, nickel plated steel cogs.  12-13-15-17-19-21-23-35-28-32.  Never used.

I have an old rear wheel that I want to use for my trainer, but no cassette to go on it. 

A 2013 Surly travel check bike with S &S couplings.  It can be disassembles and stored in its included bag.  Fits on airplane and in trunk of car.

Just right for that next trip to Uzbeckistan.
