Prospect Park Laps

Join us for 5 laps around the park, and an optional cool down lap.
 
We will meet at the grassy triangle inside the park, at the Grand Army Plaza entrance and start our laps at 6:30am.
 
How we ride
Given enough people we will break up into smaller groups of 6-8, 10 on the high end. Speeds may be added as required.
 
For 4 of the laps we will try to keep the group together for the entire lap, on the fifth lap we take prospect park hill at your own pace aka sprint / ride up as fast as you want we regroup at the triangle anyone wanting to do a cool down lap is welcome to. Cool down lap is conversational pace, double paceline if safe to do so. 


Before You Ride

  • Make sure your bike is in GOOD working order.
  • Pump up tires to the pressure specified on the sidewall.
  • Bring essentials: helmet, 2 spare tubes, pump, patch kit, 2 water bottles, pocket food, ID, and cash (credit optional).
  • Eat a good breakfast consisting of carbohydrates and proteins.

Bicycle helmets are required head attire for all NYCC Club rides.

Earphones are not allowed while riding. Aerobars are not allowed while riding.

If you signed up and find you cannot make the ride, please remove yourself and open the slot for others.
