  • Jorge Negrin, March Volunteer of the Month

Some people become Volunteer of the Month because of their wonderful contribution to our life in the New York Cycle Club.

A person might – for instance - do something like take an active role in the B SIG. Perhaps even Captain the B18 SIG. Maybe they’d organize the B SIG Orientation.

Or teach basic mechanics and bicycle maintenance classes. Or they might be Volunteer of the Month because they brought to us and continue to manage a top shelf sound system for our membership meetings.

Some people might even be recognized as our Volunteer of the Month because they do such a great job managing one of the great rest/food stops for our signature ride of the year, Escape New York.

And others might be recognized for volunteering to fill a Board of Director position on our Club Board.

Jorge Negrin has done all those things. But, that’s not why he’s being recognized as our Volunteer of the Month. Rather, Jorge is receiving this award simply because of who the man is.

Congratulations, Jorge.

You are the best!
