Nominating a Lifetime Member

Nominees are evaluated using a points-based system developed in 2013 by a committee of Lifetime Members:

Tenure
1 point per year in the Club, with a minimum of 10 years of continuous membership.
Board Service
2 points for every year served on the Board of Directors.
Special Events
2 points for each year heading a special event, captaining a SIG or STS, or chairing a committee.
Special Attributes
1–5 points, at the Board's discretion, for participation in club events, stature, passion for the Club, and service to it.
Extraordinary Contribution
10–60 points for something that changes life in the Club and inarguably shapes NYCC's culture. This is the most important consideration.

Nominees should earn more than 100 points to be considered. These are guidelines, not absolutes, and the Board of Directors may award Lifetime Membership at its discretion.

Know someone who qualifies? Send their name to president@nycc.org and cc secretary@nycc.org.
