This route replaces a prior similar route, some of which are now impassable.

Though most of your miles will be on roads, there is a fair amount of gravel, some of which are on the rougher end of the spectrum. But fear not, walking is gravel riding too, and no section is too long. But you need to be comfortable riding on rough trails to attempt this ride. Pay attention and don't push your luck. Ride only terrain which you feel comfortable on. There is even one section that will have the makings of a bushwack as the trail breaks up: follow the terrain downhill and you should catch sight of civilization in a short while. One could call this a route that eats off may plates; the roads keep changing. You will walk some sections. You will be doing a lot of climbing on paved and unpaved roads.

Be mindful of ticks, poison ivy, roots, rocks, trees, drops, and have RWGPS on your cellphone if uncertain about where you are in the bushwhack section out of Ninham SP.

One saving grace of the entire route is that should you find yourself short of time you can to divert to Rt 301, a straight shot, although vertical, to Cold Spring. If totally flustered, let Google give you directions to it.

Boyd's Corner Store & Deli is your only option for food and fluid.

DEET is a friend in your pocket should your bushwhack get unseemly.

Thanks to John Z for creating this route.
