The Gates saw their share of snow storms.

Does any weather ever stop cyclists from getting out there?

What do the dogs, romping in the park, make of The Gates? So many posts to mark!

The entire sixteen days that the installation was officially open a group of workers patrolled The Gates. They each had a telescoping pole with a tennis ball attached at the end with which they would disentangle curtains that had gotten flipped by the wind.

The snow made for a whole different scenic effect.

The Gates in some cases nicely punctuated the natural winter beauty.

They added a touch of color to the snowstorm-veiled city.

The workers patrolling the park wore these vests. Note the Christo and Jeanne-Claude autographs. According to this worker, all the workers got signed vests. What a souvenir!
