Aussois to Auris Station
103 km, 64 mi, 10,000 ft vertical

After a lunch at the top Col du Lautaret, a col encountered on the way off Galibier, the route continues downwards along a long valley.

A quick stop at the town of La Grave. The mountains loom.

A look up at the glacier nestled way up there.

A neat spot for a break.

After descending for many miles, the route then turns and climbs steeply up onto a ridge. The main road continues on down the valley. The sky dims and rain falls.

Later, even further up the mountain.
