Before their ride headed out, A-19 SIG captain Ed Fishkin talked about the finer details of pedal cadences and whatnot.

All that pre-ride stuff done away with, A-19 SIG leader Jeff Terosky leads his group out of the parking lot.

Here, leader Rich Ramon leads his group.

Up the hill they ride, skirting the traffic of runners, walkers and other cyclists.

A-19 SIG Co-Captain, Jim Galante (front left) leads his group.

More A-19 SIG participants happily headed out.

Terry Hildebrandt (red jersey, center) brings along his group.

Another B-SIG group departs for Scarsdale / Hartsdale.

Meanwhile, three C-SIG candidates depart on their self-classification ride of three laps around the park.

Later, C-SIG leader, Mitch Levine (left), registerst the time of C Siglets Kara Sperling (center) and Andrew Wylie as they completed their self classification ride in 1 hour 9 min.. Potential A-SIG Classic material for next year?

Finally, the very special NYPD 72nd St Precinct SIG takes a break at the E72nd St entrance to Central Park. All riders equipped with handguns for the ultimate protection against obnoxious drivers. Anthony Poole observed them ride in a impressive, tight, double, non-rotating paceline.
