Join us in May in the Berkshires!

Our Berkshires weekend will be from Friday, May 26 to Monday, May 29, 2017.

This year we'll have something new, a reserved block of 26 rooms at the Race Brook Lodge. Consider this if you'd like to stay in the same place as a lot of other NYCCers. They have a nice eatery attached, the Stagecoach Tavern.

The Race Brook Memorial Day rates are as follows:
3 night holiday weekend package Room Total Per Person (Includes Daily Breakfast)  Room Tax (5.7%) Room Total
Single Occupancy $525.00 $29.93 $554.93
Single Occupancy, Deluxe $570.00 $32.49 $602.49
Double $345.00 $19.67 $364.67
Triple $270.00 $15.39 $285.39

To reserve your space, please phone the front desk at 413-229-2916, or email [email protected].

The Race Brook is one of the larger inns in the area and it's near the Sheffield High School, where a lot of our rides will begin.

Of course, there are hundreds of other rooms available in the area. Here's a link to LAST year's Berkshires information page: http://nycc.org/berkshires-2016. (We'll have a revised page up and running soon.) The 2016 page has all the basic information, including a list of inns where NYCCers have stayed in the past.

There's a full range of accommodations available in the area, from small inns to larger hotels to AirBnB. Look at the attached page and phone several of them to see where you might prefer to stay. The Days Inn is popular with the C group since a lot of the C rides will start in that area.

I can recommend the Lantern House, which will be added to the 2017 list. It's on Rte. 7 just north of Great Barrington. Comfortable, bike-friendly rooms. A very simple breakfast is included.

Other inns to consider are the Ramblewood Inn and the Birch Hill B&B. Both of these are on Rte. 41 near the Sheffield High School.

If you'd like to lead an A, B or C ride, please write to [email protected]. If you've led in the past, you'll be hearing from me soon. We need leaders at all levels, to and from NYC, to and from Metro North, and around the Sheffield/Great Barrington area. Saturday will be the All-Class picnic ride to Lakeville. We have a lot of other preplanned routes for leaders to choose from.

Hope to see you there.
